Synopsis by the author/publisher
The Star-Bellied Sneetches think they're much better than the Plain-Bellied Sneetches. But they're about to discover that it's what's inside that really matters! By combining the funniest stories, craziest creatures and zaniest pictures with his unique blend of rhyme, rhythm and repetition, Dr. Seuss helps children of all ages and abilities learn to read.
“And he said, “You want stars like a Star-Belly Sneetch …? My friends, you can have them for three dollars each!” “Just pay me your money and hop right aboard!” So they clambered inside. Then the big machine roared and it klonked. And it bonked. And it jerked. And it berked. And it bopped them about. But the thing really worked! When the Plain-Belly Sneetches popped out, they had stars!”
